    A.D.C.S.A.'s  Hall of Fame..  back to 'History'

   
 Gwenda Baker (see the club's history) was the founder of the movement that lead to the establishment of an Agility-specific dog training club in S.A. and remains the club's patron since those days. With husband Jack Baker who has also been the club's long-standing President, and dogs, primarily 'Gus', she is largely responsible for the club's existence and early success.
   All of those original supporters and committee members also deserve recogniton for the effort required to launch a new concept, particularly one so cost- and labour-intensive with regard to equipment.... many have remained with the club and are still its stalwarts, while some have retired their original dogs, and since returned for another tilt at this strangely addictive pastime, and some have simply moved on ... we salute and thank them all.

 Nannette Lee and Labrador X, 'Bonnie' CDX, ADM JDX (left) became the first person in the state to obtain an ADX Title, achieved at the Autumn festival in April 1997.

           John Maiolo and his Shetland Sheepdog 'Lacey'(right) (Maiko Mid-nite Lace UD, ADM, JDM), became the first club member to earn an ADM Title, gained at Whyalla in June 1998. John and Lacey have also won the S.A.C.A. Top
Agility Dog Award on two occasions, in 1998 and 1999, & the 2001 Top Jumping Dog award.  John has represented us all on the Agility Advisory Committee for several years.
                         

   Elaine Cox and her Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever,
 Australian Champion Kelmark Double Jeopardy CDX, ADM, JDM ET "Levi"(right) also won the S.A.C.A. Top Agility Dog Award on two occasions, in 2000 & 2001, and Top Jumping Dog in 2002 & 2003.   In April 2002, Le
vi also became the first medium dog in S.A. to gain a JDM title.

site, launched in May 2003, and Editor of
the club's  monthly newsletter
'One Jump Ahead'

    At the AGM in October 2000 four members were
           honored with Life Membership, they were:
              Elaine & Neville Cox; Gwenda Baker,
                  
          and Bettyann Maiolo.
 
 
     In 2001, new Jumping classes of JD; JDX; JDM, were introduced to Agility trials.    


  Martin Freeman and 'Keta', a Kelpie X, became the first team to gain their JD Title solely in SA, Norma Gregory with her Aust. Cattle Dog, Danetipaws Paddington became the first to gain their JDX Title solely in SA; and once again John Maiolo and his Shetland Sheepdog Maiko Mid-nite Lace UD ADM JDM; "Lacey" became the first person and first small dog to gain a JDM Title in S.A.

 
             
 
   At the AGM in October 2001, Jack Baker, Ingrid Hanegreefs,
& Steve Reynolds were voted to be installed as Life Members.
 

In October 2002, John Gayler's 'Rosie RH' FDX ADM JDM ET (right) a German Shepherd Dog, became the first club member, and the first large dog in the state, to gain a JDM title.
             

     Luke Schneider and his Border Collie, 'Bailey' ADM JDM ET (left) won the SACA Top Agility Dog trophy in 2002, making history by winning five awards on the night, and continued his winning run throughout the following year, becoming the 2003 Agility Champion at the State titles and going on to break his own record by taking out the top six 2003 SACA awards..

           
         
 

      and at the State Championships at Gawler on August 30th 2003,
  Daniella McCullough and her Coolie O.C. 'Xena' ADM JDM ET (right)
    set a new Australian record for the 60-weavers event in 13.77 secs.
They were also runners-up to Luke & Bailey (above) in nearly every annual S.A.C.A. and club award for the year, as well as taking out the state's top Obedience award, The Golden Dumbell, for the second year in a row.
